Role Description

Are you a Tax Associate at a Big 4 firm seeking to advance your career in a leadership role? We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our growing team. This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to expand your expertise by managing a team of Junior Tax Associates and taking charge of client accounts. You will also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including BIR, SEC, LGU, SSS, PAGIBIG, PhilHealth, and DOLE. As a Senior Tax Associate, you’ll play a vital role in delivering top-notch tax and accounting services, improving client satisfaction, and contributing to client retention.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR tax forms for clients.

  • Conduct in-depth tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.

  • Provide precise and timely advice on tax-related matters to clients.

  • Train, supervise, and mentor Junior Tax Associates, sharing your Big 4 experience to elevate team performance.

  • Act as the primary consultant for client accounts, handling compliance with SEC, BIR, LGU, SSS, PAGIBIG, PhilHealth, and DOLE.

  • Convert interested clients and deliver HMB’s Tax and Accounting services to assigned clients.

  • Enhance client satisfaction and retention through proactive service.


For Assigned Client Accounts:

  • File BIR taxes monthly via eBIR, eFPS, and/or VAT RELIEF.

  • Conduct monthly visits/meetings and provide meeting reports.

  • Consult clients for updates and create semi-monthly payroll from biometrics to payroll.

  • File monthly BIR/LGU taxes and mandatory benefits filings.

  • Generate requested expense vouchers, monthly P&L reports, and tax estimations via Google Sheets.

  • Perform bookkeeping via MS Excel/Google Sheets or client-provided accounting software

  • Prepare annual financial statements, income tax returns, general information sheets, and related compliance documents.


Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of experience working in a tax or accounting services firm, ideally with experience as a Tax Associate at a Big 4 firm.

  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and regulations, with proven expertise in tax preparation, review, and client management.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Workspace.

  • Experience with tax planning, consulting, and client management is required.

This full-time, on-site position is ideal for candidates with a high aptitude for learning and a positive attitude toward challenges. You will assist our Senior Tax Associates in delivering exceptional tax compliance and client management services, ensuring timely and accurate results for our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR tax forms for clients.

2. Conduct basic tax research under the supervision of Senior Tax Associates to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.

3. Provide support to clients on tax-related matters.

4. Support Senior Tax Associates in managing assigned client accounts and ensuring compliance with SEC, BIR, LGU, SSS, PAGIBIG, PhilHealth, and DOLE.

5. Provide support for accounting engagement/project tasks such as but not limited to: Business Registrations, Business Closures, and Amendments for SEC, DTI, BIR, LGU, SSS, PAGIBIG, PhilHealth, DOLE, and NPC.

6. Help enhance client satisfaction through proactive assistance and attention to detail.


For Assigned Client Accounts:

2. Performphysical manual bookkeeping and ensure accuracy in client records.

3. Assist in monthly client visits/meetings and prepare meeting notes.
